FEP-EH 4 Days Extension Trip to Hispaw

(Day-1) MANDALAY-PYIN-U-LWIN SIGHTSEEING (B)

After breakfast & check-out at the hotel, morning drive to Pyin-u-Lwin for more or less 2 hours and on the way, after a few minutes drive, photo stop at the flower market, the places of interest in Pyin-u-lwin, to be visited include the Governor's Residence, the central market, the best place to see the everyday people's life, then before or after lunch, a short horse & cart ride from the downtown through the city to the National Kandawgyi Botanical Garden, compared to Kew Garden in the Great Britain, of 437 acres founded in 1915 & featuring the rich biodiversity of 428 species of local and foreign trees, 250 species of local orchids from around Myanmar, a Butterfly Museum, etc., a buggy ride is to be taken to have a look around this beautiful garden, and proceed to Pwekauk Waterfall and Maha-an-htu- kan-tha Pagoda to enjoy the view of the Shan Plateau, time for dinner and overnight at the hotel in Pyin-u-lwin. (Day-2) PYIN -U -LWIN-GOKHTEIK-HSIPAW (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, 10-minute drive to the British built railway station in Pyin Oo Lwin to take about 4 hours train jounery to enjoy the thrilling wonderful experience of train ride over world-wide known Gokhteik Viaduct, which is mentioned in Paul Theroux's acclaimed travelogue, "The Great Railway Bazaar", as "a monster of silver geometry in all the ragged rock and jungle, its presence was bizarre", including the beautiful scenery on both sides of the 1-metre-gauge wide railway line. So one might feel the train ride as to be on the elephant's back. Then take off at the Naungpeng station, lunch stop and then proceed to drive to Hsipaw by car where the remaining Hsipaw Haw is to be visited and have a stroll near the central market to explore the area, time for dinner and overnight at the hotel in Hsipaw. (Day-3) HSIPAW TREKKING (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, start our trek through the rice fields, to the 100 ft high waterfall with, a nice pool at the base. There is a splendid view of an ancient pagoda and a Shan Royal tomb in the rice fields. There is a lime stone cave just beside the fall. Afterwards, continue walking through the farming villages, with panoramic views of paddy, seasonal crops, mountains, streams and observe such traditional ways of life of the Shan villages as weaving bamboo baskets and making hand-made bamboo fans then take a long tail flat bottom boat and travel upstream the Myitnge River flanked with mountains, valleys, and fruit plantations along the river. Pay a visit to a Shan village which has traditional houses with charming gardens and walk uphill for 45 minutes to a monastery in the forest. Return by boat. Lunch will be on the way at one village and explore the remaining places of interest in Hsipaw, time for dinner and overnight at the hotel. B=Breakfast

(Day-4) HISPAW-MANDALAY (B)

Breakfast & check-out at the hotel, morning drive to Lashio for an hour or so, the exploration in Lashio includes the central market, the best place to observe the way of life of the people, the biggest Chinese Kuanyin Temple all over Burma, Hot spring, etc., and then drive all the way back to Mandalay for 6 hours more or less, time for dinner and overnight stop in Mandalay.
